The Very Important Pet Contest was about raising funds for the Missoulian's non-profit Newspapers In Education program.

The Missoulian's NIE programs provides thousands of newspapers to over 120 schools throughout Missoula and the surrounding area annually. These newspapers are used as living textbooks by students in the classroom.

Through programs like the Very Important Pet contest and donations from Missoulian readers, we are proud to support the education of our youth in the communities we serve daily.
